Thank you Joe for your time and insight. I agree with you about her not wanting "to get burned again" by reliving the surgery. The reason why I decided to try this approach was based on a lengthy discussion with her about pre and post I will continue to work with her. She did go into a deep relaxation, and she admitted it was hard for her to let go. This is a personality trait, as she admits, and expectedly, it was also her first experience with hypnosis, and with me. She doesn't know me well; she is a student in a dream class that I teach, and she was the one who approached me for help.
surgery which she seemed relatively calm and positive about, along with the normal worries. In other words, she was not traumatized beforehand by needing to have brain surgery.
