Why not call up the Methodist Medical Center at the intersection of 20 and 220. It's not more than ten miles from where you are is it? They should have his complete works in four volumes or they can tell you where to get these works...they probably can get an interlibrary loan from anywhere in Mississippi. The editor of Erickson's works is Ernest L. Rossi. There are many other Erickson books edited by Rossi. If Milton Erickson were directing you to his books, he would not make it as easy as finding excerpts on the web...there are many lessons to be learned both in trying to find his books in the real world, and in reading the details of his articles. The essence of Erickson is learning for yourself from lessons. The essence of Freud is having to believe what you've been told by him as an authority. You're better off with Erickson. If you want to learn the truth about Freud, read Alice Miller's many volumes beginning with Drama of the Gifted Child. Miller doesn't like Erickson particularly either...but Miller does think for herself---Erickson would have approved, I think. :-)
