Any ideas about what Erickson would say about the new postmodern approaches to psychotherapy? Specifically about the tendency in many psychotherapies to "disempower" clients through the therapist being an "expert knower" with the client being the "non-expert known"? Does Ericksonian therapy not fall into the modernist trap of dualistically separating therapists from clients in that political (ie power) sense?
