    Spirituality Question & Epistemology Paper
Steve Lankton · 05/15/04 at 3:35 PM ET

Dr. Erickson did not speak about spirituality per se. Any comments about that would be pure speculation. His daughters, especially, Betty Alice, could discuss this matter much more accurately. So I will leave it to the family members to comment on those issues.

The spot on my web site under the menu item labeled Erickson, is where you find one of the papers on the emerging epistemology (another is in my new book Assembling Ericksonian Therapy). The link to the paper directly is:

However let me add that in order to build a parsimonious understanding of what's at work in a non-Newtonian world (such as that of human experience), there are some inevitable conclusions about interconnectedness, or at least useful assumptions about the manner in which information is transferred. And, these conclusions or assumptions certainly flirt with the sort of spiritual ideas that were addressed in part of this movie. Whether Dr. Erickson felt these speculations were within his area of expertise or his area belief for not is not known to me.
