Thank you for your interest and time. However, in this case, I have to agree with the patient that the "medical" treatments available are not the best answer. For instance, if the patient had a sinus infection or strep throat, I would never suggest hypnosis, since there is a quick and relatively easy cure for these conditions. However, with regards to rosacea, there is no "medical" cure, but simply a regimen of continuous either oral or topical antibiotics. When I say continuous, I mean that if you stop the treatment, the rosacea usually returns within days to weeks. Teaching a person how to control his or her own blood flow seems, to me, a much better and more sensible alternative to giving someone drugs for years! Of course, drug companies pay for drugs, and often not for hypnosis. In this case, she has no insurance coverage, and I am providing the hypnosis sessions for free.
Unfortunately, I am still struggling to find a way to help her gain this control.
Also, I am not clear about the reference to that other thread you mentioned.
