I wouldn't draw that conclusion. It is more parallel to a craft or say, the martial art of Aikido. In Aikido it is right to say there exists no one comparable to Morihei Ueshiba, O'Sensi (the founder). He was just incredible beyond your imagination (really). He sets the high watermark at this time. Some Aikido 'players' are fantastic to be sure!...but not of his caliber yet. Erickson is like that in many ways. So the question was something along the line of "is anyone a successor to Erickson" or "as good as he was" or some such thing. Similarly, the answer is 'no' but that doesn't mean that everyone else is deplorable. There are many who are fantastic...but not of his caliber yet.
