I remember reading that Erickson worked with a man that was overweight, had a heart problem and was a drinker. Erickson told him he could drink as much as he wanted as long as he had a drink in different establishments, walking to each different watering hole for each drink. within weeks the man was feeling fitter and walking more. I guess seeing the man as a whole and the drinking as a 'part' was what was effective, along with distracting him from the overbearing issue. some thoughts Paul
