I'm sorry...I totally miss your point. Maybe it is lost in translation to English. But, first you mention: "his "method" always "play with", say, "unintended thought/hypnosis"...which and be good and/or bad... Regarding this question: I don't think you've read enough of his work. Perhaps you've only heard from poorly informed 4th, 5th, and later generation 'trainers' about what he did. Another possibility that comes to mind is you may have not been trained by mental health professionals who could better characterize his work in conventional terms of psychology. The whole nude thing you mention: whose is nude and having or not having pain??? It is true that distraction is can be an important component to pain control, however. Erickson used this idea often (but without the nude pictures).
