Example of The Trading Tribe Process Art is on the hot seat and Bill and Carl are facilitating. Art: My item is that I hate whipsaws and so I have trouble buying breakouts. Bill: OK, I think I get it, I am afraid of buying breakouts. (speaking as if he were, himself, on the hot seat) Art: Not exactly. I am afraid of whipsaws so I don't want to buy breakouts. (explaining more, focusing the feeling) Bill: OK, I am afraid of whipsaws, so I don't buy breakouts. Art: Yes! Carl: I am having trouble locating the feeling of fear of whipsaws. (continuing to develop toward the feeling itself) Art: OK, I feel fear of whipsaws as a tightness in my chest, and my teeth are clenching. Carl: OK, I am getting chest tightness now, and some teeth clenching (acts this out as he feels it). Art: Yes, and now I'm feeling something else. I recall buying a toy when I was a child and I got punished. Carl: I don't feel any punishment. (continuing to develop toward the feeling) Art: My father got really angry and I thought he would hit me. I feel it now, I want to cover my face. Carl: OK, I am covering my face with my hands, and squinting my eyes and clenching my teeth. Art: Yes, that's it. Wow, I didn't see that before. I'm carrying that old drama into my trading. (feeling disappears and leaves insight - as the subconscious thought becomes conscious)
