    Hi,

    You wrote:

Working closely with Richard Bandler for the past four years I can tell you this:
Bandler won't allow anyone (except maybe the Dalai Lama according to himself) to take control of the communication/relationship, and from what I remember Jeffery Zeig saying at a training with him, neither did Milton. This btw doesn't mean they were/are disrespectful necessarily.

So basically we are talking about two personalities that most likely colide. Both liked taking control of the situation. They both loved to be "one up" in their communication.

Bandler still says Milton was a great genius and that he learned a lot from him. He really likes Erickson's work in contrast to Fritz Pearls which was the first person he studied.

But he also says they (Milton & Richard) simply didn't click. He says Milton didn't like him at all... but then again Richard didn't like Milton. He only liked his work.

In contrast he always speaks of Milton's wife (Betty) as a very nice person.

I hope this gives you an idea of how the relationship between Erickson and one of the co-founders of NLP was. I've spent little time with the other one (Grinder) so I won't comment about him.

How long Richard spent with Milton is uncertain. I'll probably ask him next time I see him in a couple of months.
But more important than time it self is the results he obtained... at least that is my criteria.

I invite anyone to see/hear Richard's work and compare it to Milton's video tapes... amazing similariries.
Some people even think his voice is turning every day closer to Milton's... check out www.richardbandler.tv for a free sample.

And even at home, Richard is always telling (hypnotic) stories all the time. One simply strugles to remain conscious... until finally drifting into a nice comfortable trance...

I know lots of people in Ericksonian hypnosis do not like Bandler... I even talked a little bit about it with Jeffrey some years back... but I invite anyone in doubt to check out his work before passing judgment.

Have a great time, and sweet dreams...
