The majority of experts in the area underline the importance of using both individual and family therapy, with the motto, the child carries the symptoms which are enmeshed within the family. I dont know whether this is valid but certainly the involvement at a number of levels e.g. teachers training in emotional intelligence with children; parent's engagement in expression of perceptions of problems, etc. I still have not found conrete examples of finding a social context in which the smyptoms would not be productive? Any specific examples? Thanks. Bruce
