If you hire a teacher in one of those auto driving schools and develop a good relationship with the instructor you will be more relaxed, but still the instructor has to teach you the different driving techniques, otherwise you will not pass the drivers test. The point is, that relationship is not enough. The therapist has a responsibility to provide clinical expertise to the client. This does not mean manipulating or controlling the client as some people misrepresent clinical expertise.

I will not go to a physician, who doesn't know the difference between the flu and a cold.
