Working with young children

Hello I am currently working with young children 11 and younger as young as 4. How does a ericksonain approach approach young children. I am a new therapist in a family based clinic and I am working with several young children. I have taken ericksonian hypnosis classes yet most all of my training grad school and hypnosis has focused on adults. I am at a loss for what to do. I am using simple play type therapy and trying to work with the parents who don't want to work they want me to "fix" their children.
