I've been recently reading de Shazer's work and came across his idea of "Erickson the clever" and such versus his "de Shazer the stupid" He seems to imply that ericksonian approaches work too hard. I curious about what folks here might think about Solution Focused therapy in terms of ericksonian therapy. I think that SFT might gain limited therapeutic goals. I really don't know though.
