Lillian Fredericks M.D. has edited a book called "The use of Hypnosis in Surgery and Anesthesiology (psychological preparation of the surgical patient). publisher Thomas 2000 You will find a chapter there that I've written on hypnosis in obstetrics and gynaecology which explains in great detail a style of hypnosis for labour that derives from hypnotic phenomena utilisation and lots of other useful tips. ( these methods have been taught individually to over 800 New Zealand women over the last 10 years and as well as improving labour have produced a dramatic reduction in post natal depression.)
