I have appreciate the comments and answers I've received the couple of times that I've posted here. It has been a part of my developing as a therapist. With that said, I have another question! I have had some training in hypnosis and am still reading and learning about it. I haven't, however, been able to find the purpose behind hypnotic amnesia. In using metaphors, particularly embeded metaphors, it is interesting that parts are blocked out. Is there a purpose of not being conscious of parts of the hypnotic process? If this question can be better answered in a book...please let me know where I can find it. Thanks in advance,
Trent
