It was I who posted the recent thread that initially inquired about the efficacy of hypnosis on "Imprints"

I now apologise for the thread , as I had not read the policy of the forum beforehand and only later realised I was out of line , posting said question.

That said , whilst my expertise on Ericksonian Hypnosis is limited , I can offer some info that maybe of some use to you (please forgive me if you already know this)

The late Dr Timothy Leary , claimed he could "re access" earlier Imprinting or make the person Imprint "vulnerable" through the use of LSD.He realised the enormous potential danger this posed and advised caution......
(before he played the hippie guru card and seemingly lost the plot)

I believe he did some successful work at reframing behaviour and "desires" (to use your term) of some "career" criminals , before the scandals that were to later erode his good name.He also claims he used the same treatment / methodology to convert somebodies sexual preferences , so it might be of some interest to you to find the literature.

I know this isn`t the forum to discuss the use of banned
substances in the psychiatric/psychological field but it is interesting that Dr Robert Dilts (one of the innovators in the field of NLP) and Dr Timothy Leary worked together years later to devise a methodology that Dr Dilts claims can access and "reframe" earlier Imprinting

visit Dr Dilts website for a brief overview or look for his books CHANGING BELIEF SYSTEMS WITH NLP
and BELIEFS pathways to Well Being (DILTS,HALLBOM AND SMITH)

you may find Timothy Leary`s autobiography FLASHBACKS quite interesting also

shameless self promotion but an interesting read and he gives a brief overview of his LSD work and how he claims the intelligence agencies , framed him and attempted to silence him .

I eagerley look forward to any replies you may get on this topic

you may also like to find books by
Dr D Cheek and Dr E Rossi

they have done some excellent work in the area of psychoneurobiology

you may want to seek out their work

    re: Dr Leary

it has already been stated on these boards that Dr Erickson
was against the use of LSD and had never met Tim Leary

but the old adage goes "there`s more than one way to skin a cat" and anything that could potentially be beneficial in treating these terribly troubled individuals is worthy of discussion at least
