Get the person to go into a medium to deep trance (induction) then, basically you get the person to visualize a line in front of them and see the line as a representation of past, present, and future. where the past is to the left, present is in the middle, and the future is to the right, or however they feel more comfortable visualizing it. then take them back in time (age regression) on the line to the first time they experienced whatever the problem was, and see it in a new perspective (reframe). Then take them to the present and see themselves not experiencing the problem anymore (reframe again). Then see themselves in the future living a great life without the problem (yet another reframe). And in a nutshell that is time lining. This works even better if you wrap up the whole package in an easy to digest capsule (metaphor).
