Erickson did not use the "felt sense" as Gendlin conceives it. I was the discussant for Gendlin at the 2000 Evolution Conference and I will publish contrasts and comparisons in the proceeding which will be available in the Spring of 2003. Theorists commonly chose a unit of change, be it, behavior, affect, realtionship, transference, body posture, etc. Gendlin chooses the "felt sense," Erickson oriented to interpersonal responsiveness. Best! Jeff
