Thanks for taking the time to respond to my responce. I was so excited to see that you comunicated with me that you could have said I was a complete unconscious ass and I probably would have still enjoyed it all the same. Who knows, maybe you did and I just didn't get it yet? Hey, it's nothing my wife hasn't overtly been telling for years anyway!
And speaking of anyway, I really have enjoyed learning from your video "Motivating Action With Hypnotherapy". I especially like the beginning dialog of how you help the client begin to start understanding the way she processes her thinking, feelings, and actions. In fact, it has helped me do a great deal of rediscovering in my own life and how I veiw my role as a helper with my clients.
Your way of being and thinking has helped me to understand that we all have to ultimately tap into the limitlessness of our own creativity and unconscious resources and constantly be in the process of creating new ones.
I have began to value "questions" much more than "answers". I think what I am trying to say is that your way of thinking has seemed to somehow validate my crazyness, and contributed to my growth in life. We really do create perception at each and every moment of "now".
I am somewhat familure with your training tapes you offer through the Eriksonian Foundation. Obviously I am interested in learning more from you and especially in regard to the conversational approach you demonstrated in this session. At one point on the tape you said that you might talk for a couple hours and really get somewhere with that. I am wondering if you have any training tapes in which you could share with me that demonstrate your unique style and approach to talk therapy.
Before I began doing therapy, I was, and still am a professional drummer/songwriter. I love the world of rhythm fragmentation and disjointed confusion - especially in your work because it makes so much sense at an existential freedom level of living. I enjoy standing back from your work and seeing the bigger picture as a whole. I am guessing that takes years of not understanding everything that your consciously doing to reach this level (i.e., anxiety free).
The other day I sat down on my drum set and played at the highest flow level I have ever reached (other than the first time I ever picked up drum sticks - before the world of judgement). This was the result of being in trance which stimulated me to unlearn to be anxious while video taping myself play. I have learned to really enjoy the freedom to record what I am not worried about projecting!
Thanks for your direct indirect help. I feel that you should know that your philosophies and way of being has played a major part in my education and understanding of life.
