    The Milton H. Erickson Foundation announces

    THE 8th INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS ON ERICKSONIAN APPROACHES TO HYPNOSIS AND PSYCHOTHERAPY  December 5-9, 2001

    THE MILTON H. ERICKSON FOUNDATION, INC., of Phoenix, Ariz., is sponsoring
    the Eighth International Congress on Ericksonian Approaches to Hypnosis and Psychotherapy, at the Phoenix Hyatt Regency and the Phoenix Civic Plaza in Phoenix, Arizona.

    The four-day event, set for December 5-9, 2001, celebrates the 100th birthday of Milton H. Erickson, M.D. The theme of the Congress is "The Ericksonian Footprint: Past, Present and Future" and will focus on the basic "footprints" that identify Dr. Erickson's work and the Ericksonian approach, how it is being practiced and researched, and how it may evolve.  Organizational design for the Congress was provided by Stephen Lankton, MSW, DAHB.

    A Fundamental Hypnosis Program will be offered. In addition, the International Congress will have more than 80 experts presenting Workshops, Invited Addresses, and Keynote Presentations. Also, Short Courses will be presented by selected professionals and from Milton H. Erickson Institutes worldwide.

    The Congress Faculty includes: Alman, Andreas, Argast, Battino, Bell-Gadsby, Beahrs, Edgette, BA Erickson, Fisch, Frykman, Geary, Gilligan, Greenleaf, Hammerschlag, Havens, Hoyt, Keim, Kershaw, Landis, C Lankton, S Lankton, Loriedo, Madanes, McNeilly, Miller, Mills, Munion, Parsons-Fein, Phillips, Ritterman, Robles, Ruelas, Rosen, Rossi, Scheflin, Schmidt, Short, Signer-Fischer, Tafoya, Trenkle, Weitzenhoffer, Wilson, Yapko, and Zeig.

    Keynote Addresses will be presented by Stephen Lankton, Cloe Madanes,
    Ernest Rossi, and Jeffrey Zeig. Invited Address will be given by Carl Hammerschlag.

    SPECIAL EVENTS!

    A special hike is planned to the Squaw Peak Mountain Preserve on Wednesday, December 5, from 1:00-4:30PM, for the dedication of the Milton H. Erickson bench that will be built this summer. Following the hike, beginning at 7PM,there will be an evening celebration on December 5, for the 100th birthday of Milton H. Erickson, M.D., including music, dancing, special memorabilia door prizes, and birthday cake. More information is included in the Conference brochure.

    The Erickson Foundation offers continuing education to physicians, psychologists, social workers and counselors. Please see our brochure for information on accreditation.

    ELIGIBILITY: The Congress is open to professionals with a doctoral or master's degree in the health professions. Full-time graduate students enrolled in an accredited institution also may register for the event by sending a letter (along with registration form) from their university stating graduate student status as of December 2001.

    *GRADUATE STUDENTS must supply a letter from their university stating their full-time graduate student status as of December 2001. / INTERNS must send a letter from their supervisor indicating their intern status as of December 2001. / SENIORS must supply a photocopy of their driver's license or other proof of age.
