Yikes! That is a big question--one worthy of a dissertation. Clinicians must factor gender-related issues into therapy. Gender issues are zeitgiest-specific. When Erickson practiced male-female roles were much different then they are now. I have not looked at Erickson's cases through the lense of gender roles. If you have some ideas, please post them.
