    Erickson's view of psychosis
    ToddStark@aol.com · 9/5/97 at 10:18 PM ET

    Dr. Zeig,

I've heard stories of Erickson entering the delusions of psychotic patients and helping to communicate with them, and even effecting cures with patients diagnosed with schizophrenia.

Do you think that his experience with psychosis in general opposes the notion that psychoses are "degenerative brain diseases ?"

Since he is known for specializing in difficult cases, what seems to have been his perspective on this, and what is yours ?
