Finally, the anonymous skeptic offers the following illogic: "Perhaps Sandra can explain - using empirically based science - how it is a person can have many personalities but one personality can't inhabit many bodies." With this challenge, this skeptic is asking me to defend the now defunct previous name of the condition he disbelieves. There is now plenty of research to support the reliability and construct validity of dissocitive disorders as a phenomenon. I refer the reader to the work of Drs Richard Kluft, Colin Ross, Paul Dell, Eve Carlson, and others. It is beyond the scope of this forum to review this literature here. However, readers are referred to www.issd.org for relevant citations. And skeptic, do provide your name in the future or your posts will be deleted without further discussion. I am confident that you will see the wisdom of professionals putting their names behind their convictions.
