Actually, surgeons now ARE doing surgery via the internet. That's quackery too. Just wait until some server which is transmitting data from a NYC "Brain surgeon" to some cut open skull in California crashes, or the backbone burps or hiccups during data packet transfer while the doc is slicing into the frontal lobe of some poor soul. Won't that be a fun read in the papers. If a person in Antarctica will die unless they get immediate internet surgery then OK but for everyday use, surgery and psychotherapy via the net is a very very bad idea.
