Some people are more text oriented in terms of their dominant input/output sensory language, a high visual/auditory connection I would guess. Text also allows much multitasking and expansion of ideas in verious conversations at once. The internet also presents one with seemingly endless choices of communities and individuals from which to seek out personally interesting communications. In addition, online communications offer endless chances to experience minds and ideas we might not have the time, space, or deliberate inclination to seek out in the offline world. Broad exposure that we can control our acceptance of is key. MK
