Internet Chat as Research Method

Hi there, this may be slightly off your general topic, but I wonder whether anybody knows of any research that has been conducted using ICQ and its followers, such as MSN and so on for a research method.

My dissertation has been carried out with interviews on ICQ , and I would really like to find some similar research in case others have any useful insight.
