Thanks for sharing that observation. It certainly is an interesting phenomeon. From a psychological point of view, we could make all sorts of interesting speculations, such as an "inferior" sense of "I" (low self esteem) or a poorly developed sense of identity - which would fit in with your observations. I'd be carefuly, though, about over-analyzing it. Some people may be poor typers, and making that extra effort to use the shift key may be a nuisance to them. In that vein, I wonder if you observe whether it's just the "I" that is in lower case, or all of the letters.
