I can't resist adding, there may also be a tendency for people to be honest, dependant upon the individual. The oft held impression that everyone on the net is fake simply can't be held as a standard truism. Some are and some aren't. One aspect of cyber-relating that contributes to the belief of dishonesty and illusion is that of transference. I can tell someone that I have blonde hair and blue eyes (true) but they might put those facts together in a manner that does not at all add up to the image I actually present. Dependant upon their perception of who and what I actually am, they may be pleasantly surprised, crushingly dissappointed, or somewhere in between if we ever find ourselves in a f2f meeting.
