In time only the companies who succeed in providing a user friendly online application will manage to hire quality personnel, I think. Because especially 'quality' personnel will not waste time in writing letters, calling the specific company to check if the letter is recieved etc..
The atitude will be: a fine resume or CV, a list of demands and post it at any company of which the website's content looks atractive. This will become partly a subconsious proces in my opinion.
