    Instant messenger/ chat logs
Mark Prez · 01/14/04 at 2:23 PM ET

Hello, I've stumbled onto something that seems very helpful, but also raises ethical questions.

I've found clients can be helped far more by reviewing their instant messenger/chat logs while they are online. However, I'm not sure this can be accomplished in an ethical way. How do I get my clients to volentarialy supply such information? And has there been any research done in this area? Sorry for the typos I'm trying to catch a late lunch and haven't much time.
