    MPD and Freudian theory
    Leigh · 2/26/98 at 2:20 PM ET

I was wondering if anyone had any information on Freudian defense mechanisms. I am doing research on MPD, and I can only find one case where they focused in on defense mechanisms. Also, has anyone ever thought that MPD patients with self-punishment alters have a type of self- displacement towards themselves?
