CMT in Europe - Europeans in San Francisco
Reto Volkart · 3/17/00 at 4:59 pm ET

There are several researchers in Europe indeed who are involved with Control Mastery Therory. Among them:
    - Cornelia Albani from Leipzig and Ulm, Germany, M.D. She has also published many articles on the CCRT (Luborsky).
    - Isa Sammet from Göttingen, Germany, M.D. and Ph.D. She is working on the connection between pathogenic beliefs and psychopathological symptoms.
    - Armando Cotugno from Rome, Italy, M.D. He is interested in emotional processes, especially shame and guilt, and their connection with cognitions.
    - Paolo Migone from Parma, Italy, M.D. who translated Joe Weiss' work.
    - Reto Volkart from Zurich, Switzerland, Ph.D. I am interested in patient's nonverbal reactions after tests and therapeutic interventions. Together with with Cornelia Albani from Germany and Judith Humbel from Zurich, Switzerland, we did the first German-speaking plan-formulation with highly reliable results.
I founded a center for psychotherapy in Zurich, Switzerland, where Control Mastery Theory is one of my most important guidelines. If you understand German please have a look at our website: www.zept.ch

Armando, Isa, Beatriz from Argentina and I had the pleasure to join the 13th International March Workshop in San Francisco just a few days ago. We had vivid and case presentations, interesting theoretical discussions, important questions of technique, and we used the day after the workshop for a research symposium that was really exciting for all who joined it. Thanks Jessica Broitman, Joe Weiss and Harold Sampson and the other members for your wonderful hospitality!
