Jessica, I am new to your conversations. I am interested in exploring patient planning and assessing in therapy and came across Weiss's control-mastery theory. Do you know whether anyone has yet gone back and analyzed whether predicted tests actually occured in therapy. This hadn't been done when you last spoke of it in 1997. Also, there has been some published discussion about the relevance of planning and testing to various types of disorders, in particular the more severe disorders such as borderline conditions. I am particularly interested in researching Winnicott's false-self and wondering whether anyone can offer any comment on false-self and control-mastery theory.
