I read your first case comment with great interest and pleasure. It is wonderful to have cognitive therapy perspective represented -- and represented so well -- in this case conference.
For those who have not met Jim here or are unfamiliar with his work, James Pretzer, Ph.D. is the Director of the Cleveland Center for Cognitive Therapy and is Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry at the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. He worked closely with Aaron T. Beck, M.D., David Burns, M.D., and other leading cognitive therapists. Jim has been actively involved in applying Cognitive Therapy in new areas. He has written extensively on this work and has conducted many workshops locally, regionally, and internationally. A fuller biography can be found at http://www.behavior.net/consultbio.html#pretzer.
Jim also facilitates the Behavior OnLine forum discussion on Cognitive Therapy at which you may visit for more information on this approach at http://behavior.net/forums/controlmastery.htm.
Best wishes to Jim and to all,
