Do you men "ostracization praocess" or the process of ostracizing others? What is that, anyway? I've never heard it called that. For insights on this topic, you might look at Erving Goffman's classic sociological sutdy entitled "Stigma." Or look up studies using the assessment technique of "sociograms", where respondents designate liked and unliked persons in a group. Also look up studies on "exclusion theory". From a religious perspective, this may be similar to "excmommunication" or "withdrawging fellowship". People use these various methods for social control because they are effective for certain purposes. It can be psychologically damaging and hurtful. Just a few search terms for Google or other search engines.
