    Smokeless Tobacco
    Michael Ostrolenk · 01/27/04 at 11:48 ET

I am interested in tobacco use, addiction and cessation programs. I recently read a report from Sweden that says that there is a decrease in smoking tobacco and an increase in smokeless tobacco use. Does anyone know of any research into using smokeless tobacco as a short term means of reducing smoking tobacco use? Also, does anyone know of programs that encourage short term use of smokeless tobacco instead of smoking tobacco? I imagine that using one to replace the other short term is not to popular considering that tobacco use in total is not politically correct and is generally unhealthy.

    Thank you,
    Michael D. Ostrolenk, MA, MFT
