Yes, there is some evidence to back up your wife's comment.
Of all of the personality disorders I have worked with in the past, I would gladly see 5 borderlines than one narcicistic personality.

I do not know where you live but if there is any way possible you can attend a workshop with Gregory Lester, Phd. I believe his home base is Houston, Texas. He is quite an expert on personality disorders. I have one of his books -- "People with Power" but I know he written more recent books.
