On this topic and applicable to human behavior in particular is Kevin Laland and Gillian Brown's book coming out in July: "Sense and Nonsense: Evolutionary Perspectives on Human Behaviour." Kevin's own specialty is models of how organisms influence their own evolution by how they affect natural selection through the construction of their own niches. This construct often requires a form of ecological heredity other than genes, so this may be of interest.
