I can see where Todd is coming from. However, the issues of how 'prisoners' are treated by 'the law' varies a lot in different countries & cultures in peace & war. Criminals in some places are just summarily executed on the street. Even though discussion of these matters may seem to be in the 'political' sphere I think in general anything to do with how people behave towards each other & how some individuals & groups manipulate each other should always be up for discussion. How Hilter, Stalin, Mao, the Pope of the day, Presidents of countries & multinational companies & the backroom boys do what they do is all in the public arena now. Now that PCs have allowed us to talk to each other across boundaries bypassing the official line, the propaganda, interference from whatever quarter we should be speaking plainly & allow nothing to go into the 'too hard basket.
