Behavioral safety falls under general category of Organizational Behavior Management (OBM) which is a specialization of the field of behavior analysis. If you want to do this kind of work, you'll probably want to work for a consulting firm like Aubrey Daniels & Associates. OBM addresses any performance problems, safety or otherwise, in organizational settings. So, the work would be varied. At a minimum, you'll probably need a Master's in behavior analysis with an emphasis on OBM. The jobs in this area are scarce so the competition is fierce. The work tends to be demanding (60+ hours per week). There are several websites where you can learn about graduate programs in behavior analysis
