    I've just re-read that last staement on;ly to realise it didnt make a lot of sense.... ill come back to this too much brain overloading!! the question i asked was
    how do the interpretations of emotes/ emoticons compare to someone offline who has never used chat before? can they decifer what is meant by them ? do they get the same emotion as the chatter does online?
    i think the lack of verbal communication and cues affect the interpretation of the gaps that are left in computer chat by their absence? (am i makeing more sense now she asks herself?)
