The cycle of mental health problems

I am a GP interested in how mental health problems in a deprived community can cause mental health problems to develop in children born in that community. I am particularly interested in proven interventions that can reduce this happenning. I am a General Practitioner (Medical Doctor in the community, primary care) in South East London, UK. I am looking into this as a project linked with the department of General Practice, Kings College Hospital.
