Self awareness starts with inner growth. In my years of practice in "Behavioral Medicine" I have observed that inner growth started with "Self Love". Unfortunately, self love has been degraded over the course of history. I have noticed those who truly love themselves have no great need to make others know how significant they are. When you neither self degrade or deprecate yourself, nor self promote or excessively communicate your inherent value, you then will experience a feeling of self love. When you question yourself, "Am I a worthy person/do I respect myself? has been answered by your inner voice with a resounding "YES" one doesn't continue to ask that question of others. It is only when the attention is off ourselves, that we can truly "be there" for another. I believe it's time we redefined the meaning of "Self Love". "Self Love is an inner concept". Any comments or questions? Have a Blessed Lifespan
