In The Neurotic Constitution, as examples of the "masculine protest," Adler discussed several cases of women who wanted to be infinitely more powerful than any man or woman, and consequently formulated personality ideals that were extremely aggressive and dominating. The desire for godlike, absolute power can be expressed in a similar way by either sex.
