Several things come to mind. Most important, try to understand the situation from her perspective. What does she believe determines her motivation? what are her beliefs about her motivation? Is it different from others? and so on. Start by helping her understand her own motivation. Heck, she did come to the group to find something of this sort, she must be very disappointed.
