I am interested in a future career that involves health and psychology - I refer to this as a "Mind-Body" Profession. Currently, I am a computer professional but find this dissatisfying. Stress management interests me but I am searching for different clinical applications of the biopsychosocial[spiritual] models beyond this because I think it may be tough to make a living with just this. However, this may be an invalid assumption. Please correct me if I am wrong on this one and let me know what I can do with stress management (if any thing). How is the knowledge we now have from health psychology applied in real life situations in all areas besides just stress managment? Also, what professions utilize the principles of health of psychology in real life clinical applications and how? I realize that a few of these professions may be psychologist, physician, nurse, physical therapist, exercise physiologist, social worker. However, I'm not interested in any of these professions as a career option. Do you have any ideas? Can you give me some feedback? Any input would be appreciated.
I have a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a master's degree in Computer Information Systems. I would like to embark on a new career in the "Mind-Body" realm that will not require much more education (if possible).
