You're right, there's not as much info out there as one would like. The old treatment was, of course, analysis, originally with hypnosis. Conversion disorder (once referred to as hysteria) has also been treated by narcoanalysis and certain medications. But the treatment of choice currently seems to be behavior therapy. Lazarus, I recall, did some research on conversion symptons treated by his multimodal therapy. You might look for his articles or articles about his method. I'm not sure what else might be useful -- I wonder if there might be common co-occurring disorders? For instance, if an anxiety (or depressive) disorder is present as well, the physician might choose to try an SSRI. Good luck with your research.
