Re: Choosing a Creative Arts Therapy

Is there anyone doing therapy by having people write fiction? I am writing a dissertation proposal around the topic

What is the experience of writing characters in conflict?

as a doctoral student in Calif Institute of Integral Studies, Integral Studies Doctorate in Learning and Change in Human Systems, Ph D program.

I teach writing at a Calif community college and find that the most challenging writing I've ever attempted is to write fiction--and that it is part of my own personal healing/therapy process, too.

I've heard of poetry therapy and journal therapy, and was curious if anyone has started what i might call "writing fiction therapy"
