    Neurological Damage and Interpretation
Deborah Green · 4/7/00 at 9:55 pm ET

I work with special needs children, and find that many have impaired coordination due to neurological damage.
In cases like this, how might art therapy or dance therapy be useful? I suspect that many of the traditional interpretations of drawings or movements would be invalid because of the neurological deficits. How do you distinguish between the emotional and neurological in cases like this?
Also, are there any books about working with learning disabled children through the creative arts?
